Artist Statement: In the sport of tennis, we start from Love, 0-0. In life, we often start from zero when we embark upon our endeavors. Anything worth doing must begin with Love and a ferocious passion if what we are doing is met with challenges. This piece conveys the visceral power that comes from the love of the game of tennis to break through and win. It is not only a metaphor for the sport but a metaphor for how to conquer any chosen challenge born from love.
