Artist Statement: This concept is inspired by the hero-like figures that basketball players represent. The abstracted elements imply an upwards motion. Meanwhile, the silhouetted figure in the center is meant to represent the idols that many people see when they watch a basketball game. The face is intentionally obscured in order to let the viewer see their favorite players or even themselves in the artwork.
