Artist Statement: This concept highlights the power, athleticism and sheer style that’s so predominant in the sport of basketball. With modern athletes capable of acts that seem to defy the laws of physics, they have essentially become superheroes to their fans. The style here plays on that idea; developing a comic book aesthetic, and leaning on anime conventions, to help emphasize the true spectacle of the sport.
